This page lists all photo workshops held by Highlight Photo Tours, with links to some of the photos taken.

Fall 2018; Quebec City and Charlevoix

This was our very first workshop, held in October 2018 in Quebec City and the Charlevoix region.. The workshop was led by my good friend Reed Hoffmann. Here is a link to the slide show I put together on the workshop: https://vimeo.com/294697460?share=copy

Summer 2019; Nova Scotia

Our second workshop led the group to Cape Breton Island, and then to the Nova Scotia peninsula. Led by Reed Hoffmann again, it was another great success with wonderful photo opportunities. Here is a link to the slide show: https://vimeo.com/356319764?share=copy

June 2022; Canadian Rockies

Reed and I went to the Canadian Rockies for our third workshop. We explored in and around Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise. The scenery was just spectacular, and we will likely return at some point in time. Link to the slide show here: https://vimeo.com/717647813?share=copy

August 2022: Nova Scotia

Reed and I elected to go back to Nova Scotia again, this time exploring more of the peninsula than during the first workshop there. It did not dissapoint as you can see in the slide show here: https://vimeo.com/745162881?share=copy

There is a chance we will go back again in 2026; send me a message if you are interested.

February 2023; Hawaii Big Island

For our fifth workshop. Reed and I elected to explore the Big Island of Hawaii. Spectacular! This time, there is no slide show but some of the photos are under the portfolio tab above.

October 2023; Quebec City and Charlevoix

This workshop was a repeat of the very first workshop I held, once again with the assistance of my good friend Reed Hoffmann. The Fall colours were there for the group to appreciate. We added an extra day, which we used to go whale watching in Tadoussac. Link to the slide show from the trip here: https://vimeo.com/876738889?share=copy

April/May 2024; Croatia, Slovenia and Venice

Reed had previously visited Croatia and Venice, and I had visited Slovenia and Venice. We thought it would be of interest to offer a workshop in those countries. What a great time we had! Superb vistas, wonderful people, the weather cooperated. Link to the slide show from the trip here: https://vimeo.com/948880868?share=copy

May 2025: Ireland

With my good friend Reed Hoffmann, our group visited various parts of Ireland. We started in Dublin, then went to the Connemara and stayed in Clifden. We then spent a day in Inis More, the largest of the Aran Island. We then stayed in Galway, exploring the Cliffs of Moher and other locations. We had a photo sessions with dancers from the Irish Dance Experience. We then left for Killarney, where we experienced a sheep dog demonstration and took in the wonderful sights of the national park. We made our way to the Dingle Peninsula and eventually stayed at Dromoland Castle for our last night.

June 2025: Newfoundland, Canada

Reed and I led a group to the Canadian province of Newfoundland, our objective being to see whales, puffins and icebergs. We were very successful! Newfoundland has dramatic scenery with many natural species, animal and vegetal. Our trip took us from the capital, St John's, to the Bonavista peninsula, then to the Twillingate area, and finally to Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

April 2026: Portugal

Reed and I took a group to Portugal. We started the trip in Porto, then made our way to the Atlantic coast where we visited Ria de Aveiro, the Batalha Monastery, the seaside town of Nazare and Obidos. We also went to the Peniche peninsula, the Royal Palace of Malfra and then to Lisbon. We made our way to the National Palace of Pena, the Torre de Belem, the village of Evoramonte, the castle of Evora, and a visit of Lisbon. We then flew to the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. We pretty much drove around all of the island, seeing Rurnas, Vila Franca, the Sao Miguel aqueduct, Porta do Diabo, and many more sites.
